Egyptian revival vintage scarab beetle brooch circa 1960-70's. In ancient Egyptian religion the scarab was a symbol of immortality, resurrection, transformation and protection. A scarab amulet is said to provide the wearer with protection and confidence in the certain knowledge of reincarnation. Crafted in 14K GF in a circle shape displaying six colorful carved scarab beetles with lined curved rectangular spacers. It is secured with a straight pin and locking clasp. Pictured as received.
