Very rare pair of Renauld sunglasses. They are made with white plastic frames, a clear plastic bridge and a wrap around green lens panel. The original box is marked as model Supervisor; code A999, white frame and green lens. It also has the original striped storage bag. They are in excellent condition, no scratches or breaks. The box has some water stains and is missing the top flap. I am assuming they were made at the earlier phase of productions as the style looks much like it would be from Mid Century. They may even be a prototype that never hit the market. I spoke with the current CEO of Renauld and he has an extensive collection and has never seen these before. The Renauld company was first launched by Charles Rolley (Sea and Ski Suntan Company) in 1961 and continued for a couple of decades. Having been in films and worn by many celebrities, including Elvis. It was since relaunched by Gareth Llewelyn its current CEO. Upon some search they seem to be quite rare and unusual.
