Vintage Large Hallmarked Silver Moss Agate Pendant & Chain

Pretty silver moss agate pendant and silver chain in excellent condition. Medium sized oval moss agate cabochon set in a smooth bezel within a beaded border. The moss agate is a very good quality, with green mossy dendritic inclusions among little puffs of orange in a translucent creamy white agate. Pendant hangs on an oval link sterling silver chain measuring 16 inches long. Pendant and chain are sterling silver. Moss agates are usually colorless, white, or gray, and have tree- or fern-like inclusions of iron or manganese, called dendrites. Measurements Pendant: 1.5” long x 0.5” wide Chain: 16” long chain Weight: 5.6 grams HALLMARKS Stamped ”Sil” for Sterling Silver on the reverse of the pendant. I think it is a mid 70’s UK pendant, made for the export market.
