Minton Silenus Bacchus Style Stoneware Pitcher

This is a gorgeous stoneware or ceramic pitcher that is so unique and interesting. Its done in the style of Italian artist, Minton Silenus, and is called his Bacchus style. With that being said, I did not know any of that when I bought it. I just thought it was interesting and worth a second look. I thought the artist might be trying to depict good and evil, but it may just be a market scene. Take a look at the pictures and see what you think, It's done in an ivory colored base with a light blue glaze. It measures 8" tall with a 6" diameter and a 3.3" opening. It is a big piece and makes a statement. It is not for the faint of heart, but it is gorgeous. Maximalists will love it!
