I have question marked the "wooden" aspect of item because I " believe" they are wood. I have not attempted to cut or peel one to find out lol. A couple may be a resin type material. They have a solidness to them. I will admit I have cleaned and shined them up for photos. The larger apples are quite realistic and when mixed in a display bowl with the others just looks like you bought different types of apples at the market!!
