appreciate everything that would help us and tips for amazing shows.

I’ve also done a short video of the items that I’ll be auctioning in my show. It’s a great way to show your viewers sneak peek before you go live.
charcaitbtq
Sick of seeing banners about live shows. Not all sellers want to go live. Let us live!
minatim6
@charcaitbtq I agree with you 100%!
neatrepeats
@charcaitbtq me too…. I ignore all at this point. I sat through one seasoned sellers show just to listen to the host ramble and wait for everyone to message all their nonsense, everyone chatted endlessly and never made it to the end of the show. Took forever to get through just one item. This isn’t a business for me, I sell my families personal items. Silent shows are worthless also
deveresboutique
I'll be going live as soon as I get my merch photographed! 🙌
rebeccaaline
I don’t understand all the lives or the share shows I’ve been to several and don’t see anything selling I spent alot of time sitting and watching trying to figure them out wondering do they get paid to do this some of them or on several days multiple hours what do they get out of it I don’t know any more now than I did when I watched the first show. Now I get things about a promoted closet. It doesn’t explain it well enough for me to understand what that is
brilldelights
@rebeccaaline Hi Rebecca, I can offer some feedback. I’ve been doing lives for a year and a half. They were AWESOME in the beginning. Had tons of sales every show (I only do luxury and designer lives) and an amazing group of regulars, posh friends and new people floating in and out. Then posh opened lives up to everyone. Total chaos ensued. No limit to how many shows going on at once…
brilldelights
@rebeccaaline …people with no following or contribution to the community with 100+ viewers selling anything & everything. Gold star longtime Poshers (like me) are now lucky to get 20 people. Posh needs to have live show signups with scheduled time slots. It’s ALOT of work to setup and breakdown. We don’t get any compensation for doing them.
brilldelights
@rebeccaaline I love posh, love doing lives however it is exhausting when I had 50-60 viewers and now I have 15-20. Signing up for scheduled time slots would REALLY improve lives. Instead I feel like there’s too many going on at once and buyers get overwhelmed. They go to the ones with the most viewers only, because they appear to be the best ones, even if they’re not. Try it out and see if you like doing them! If you have questions I’m happy to help!
Best regards
Mika Leigh 🥰♥️

@brilldelights I couldn't agree with you more! I've noticed the exact same thing
mazzeimagic
@neatrepeats tell me why silent shows are worthless, so maybe it will help me make mine better. I like that you can maybe even see a short of the item. Thank you
mazzeimagic
@deveresboutique good luck. I hope you do well.
mazzeimagic
It would be very helpful if the comments section was for my potential buyers only. I am missing a lot of buyers questions because of so many posh show announcments.
neatrepeats
@mazzeimagic my daughter and I have hosted several silent auctions a couple fr my closet and approx 6-8 from hers. We kept trying to attract participant, making ads, sending ads, announcing the silent auctions, posting them in my closet. We both were lucky if we only had 1-3 participants each sale we hosted. A lot of time spent with 0 sales. I have no input on how to make a silent auction better. The only way to make it better is to have participants. We even had all items at $3, $4, $5 starts.
mazzeimagic
I really do understand. In live in the reality. Thank you for replying

@minatim6
Extremely shy and private, live shows are impossible for me
minatim6
@dkbenya I work all day and there’s a lot to do in the house … weekends go super fast, it’s just impossible for me as well.
heatherrusse214
@neatrepeats I have experienced this so many times. I’ve attended about a dozen share shows and I’ve never sold anything and priced my things at rock bottom prices. I’ve seen very few items sell from other sellers across all shows. I’ve also seen low attendance and a ton of rambling. What’s the secret to getting attendance and sales? I want to host a show but don’t want it to be a waste of time.
jennifers29
@dvelvethanger oh, I like this idea how interesting I’m gonna have to see your video and check it out. Maybe you can give me advice and how I would do that.?
jennifers29
@brilldelights oh my gosh you are so right sometimes there’s so much competition and so many shows going that the viewers just come in and out of your show and they don’t buy anything because they want to bundle but they don’t stay long enough to even see if there’s anything to bundle with because they’re too busy going from show to show
musicbird
@neatrepeats there’s just too much competition with Posh pushing giveaways and every single show, feeding into FOMO. I’ve done a couple of lives including one share show. I’ve been in posh for 8 years & done well until Shows started. So unless you have a niche or a crap ton of clothes/items you willing to let go for a $2 profit, I just can’t see it being successful. It’s incredibly over saturated.
dvelvethanger
@jennifers29 , @jennifers29 , after your show is scheduled click on your posh show details and right next to edit show you’ll see “Add Preview”. Hope it helps 😊.
neatrepeats
@musicbird it is also my understanding during a live show “give away” not only are your giving away for free an item, You as seller also pay the shipping cost. So if you have a show with no sales/no buyers, you still award a free item to a Participant, at your cost for shipping it. That makes no sense to me. That’s a lose lose situation. Unless I’m misunderstanding something. I’ve sold for over 25 years on many platforms
michelleguzz1
@poshshowshub I looked into canva.com and it appears as though you must be an educator to use it. Am I missing something??
neatrepeats
@michelleguzz1 selling on this platform as other platforms, should be made simplified and not so difficult. It’s getting worse
douglaspeak
I have a live listing created. Starting to do lives on Friday Saturday and Sunday evening at 8:00 pm Central time. Please come check us out. 🧡🫶🧡

@mazzeimagic agreed with this comment
michelleguzz1
@neatrepeats I appreciate what Posh is trying to do, offering many different ways to engage with people. They give you many different options for buying and selling, but it can be overwhelming 😵💫 Sometimes I feel like I’m just getting the hang of something and then it changes 😬
michelleguzz1
I have a live listing at the top of my closet. I created it using a free picture from online and adding my own words.
brilldelights
@jennifers29 exactly! We used to keep viewers for the entire show. Shows were 1-3 hours and you’d choose how long. Now you can just schedule your show and do a marathon if you want. The same shows are always featured as “popular shows” (of course they have tons of viewers) and all the others are just pushed to a different screen where you’d have to search to find them. They should be constantly rotating on the main posh feed. Makes it inherently difficult for sellers just starting to go live.
neatrepeats
@michelleguzz1 good luck. I really hope you sell.

pattimaz
There are so many of us sellers that really do not like shows !!!!
pattimaz
Please STOP clogging-up our comments feed with live show announcements!!!!! It is a totally unnecessary intrusion. Some sellers announcements come up as many as 20 times. Poshmark you have to put a stop to this.
savingforsalad
The constant notifications are annoying and unnecessary. Please give us an off button for this junk!
velvetreasurez
@craftynodd
fladaw60
@pattimaz @savingforsalad Go to Notifications and turn off what you don't want to receive. Unlike show listings you have liked & turn off whoever you're following notification when they go live. The daily ones from PM may still occur. Hope that helps. ❤️
camie_luxresell
I would appreciate if you will give us a better rate for shipping during live show. We sellers are ending up paying the extra once we upgrade the label.
renrayne131
@mazzeimagic I’ve been doing live shows for about a month now but can’t get over 4 people
abstract_sherri
@neatrepeats tbh, I think silents are a waste of time, I've tried em numerous times with fail. imo, I think lives are much better, there pretty easy once the nerves wear off, & have a better chance to make sales or more sales. I do share shows so it attracts a bigger audience & there a lot of fun, imo. I'll never do a silent again. 🤷♀️
best wishes & good luck!
abstract_sherri
@michelleguzz1 Canva is available for everyone and free unless you want certain things. I use it for free & create my own ad listings. I've been using it for ages for various creative projects. it's pretty easy to figure out & they have already setup layouts that you can just edit & add your own info into it.
best wishes & have fun with it!
musicbird
@neatrepeats true!!
mazzeimagic
@brilldelights I agree. Feeding sellers to these people. Even during Posh lives. I am not given more buyers. If you search posh closets there are so many good items out there that never get seen. Helping sellers that sell new tagged items in shows is not feeding our posh theme of recycling clothes keeping them from being thrown away. Make shows that only sell resale items the popular shows. Save the plant. lol. Just a thought.
mazzeimagic
@renrayne131 same heard but it has been over a year

@mazzeimagic agreed. While I’m luxury & designer focused, I do sell everything and both NWT and excellent condition used items. Totally understand what you’re saying. If I do a non luxury show, I’ve got no viewers. People expect only lux from me now. It’s not a level playing field. Extremely disheartening and not very motivating to people who are just starting out and can’t get more than 2-3 people 🫤 Lives should be something ALL poshies want to try (and do) !!
mazzeimagic
@dkbenya you can do them off camera or as a silent show where you keep the camera off but talk and play music 🎶 If you want to try let me know. I am here.
mazzeimagic
@minatim6 try co hosting in am on the weekend. Co hosting is fun.
mazzeimagic
@heatherrusse214 true
mazzeimagic
@michelleguzz1 no it can be detailed and there is a lot there
mazzeimagic
@michelleguzz1 how to get it to stay at the top every time I look it has moved down my closet. Any advise?
minatim6
@mazzeimagic thank you! I’ll think about it 😊
mazzeimagic
@brilldelights thank you for the reply. I enjoyed reading it. I do love how posh has motivated creating a very positive interactive site. Good job. I think it would be good to have to schedule time slots for shows so more poshers can get live show success. Hate scheduling shows but might be necessary some of the best shows are pop ups.
dkbenya
@mazzeimagic
Thanks for the encouragement but can’t even do that, I tried a radio station interview in the past, it was hopeless
michelleguzz1
@mazzeimagic I always make sure to share that listing by itself so it goes back to the top
