I think it is more a medium or large if you want to wear a sweater under. Chest measures 40. Super warm and cozy. The listing for this coat says wool, but I'm not sure if the lining is real wool or faux. It is very soft and cuddly. LOVE this coat, it just doesn't fit. Please check measurements to ensure you won't have that same issue.
