Decorative or can be used as an incense burner or an ashtray
The design is based on the double spouted Inca pots from Peru.
A hollow metal copper container with two chimneys that are also hollow and lead into the central chamber.
The spouts are made out of what appears to be 2 vintage coins with readable text showing "Peru 1957 Banco Cent...". and one says 1975.
The person being depicted on this piece is Naylamp. According to myth, he is the god that came across the sea and founded Lambayeque, a city in Peru. During the Sun Festival, a black or white llama would be sacrificed by a priest who would disembowel it and tell the future of the next harvest based on the contents of the entrails. The animal was then incinerated after the ceremony was completed. In this case Naylamp (the man on the piece) is intended to represent the Sun God Inti and the llama the sacrificed animal. This appears to be possibly a souvenir for the Inti Raymi festival held on June 24th.
