@lillianoverman I apologize, I have never measured jeans like that, so I googled it and realized what you meant. The hips measure 38". The rise measures (front of jeans) 11.5" and the (back of the jeans) 14.5". Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you.

@lillianoverman Yes, I did. Google said to measure right at the bottom of the zipper all the way across.

It's usually wider about an inch below the zipper. Where the butt curves out. LOL
I'm hoping that it's 39 inches for my big butt.

@lillianoverman so I measured an inch and a half below the zipper and they are 42"at the widest part for the hips. I hope this helps.
