tabbytails @bougiesusieshop thanks. love colourful wool carpets. that one is a pottery barn one - they have some nice rugs from time to time. hey, you missed the jewellery auction - it was last week. I didn't see a lot that I wanted, except an emerald ring but I was outbid - but I noticed the quality in the lower priced auction is getting kind of iffy.

bougiesusieshop @tabbytails Dupuis? I found myself a ring a few months ago on Vestiaire. It was in France and I shipped it to my niece in Lyon so I only paid like $10 for shipping and zero for tax. You don’t pay taxes on second hand items there. I hate that we do here. I’m looking forward in picking it up in a couple of weeks. lol. Anyway that’s all to say boo to tax and I am too broke to shop here now

tabbytails @bougiesusieshop Dupuis, yes. I know. The rationale is second hand stuff is being taxed unfairly since the tax has already been paid. It's great if you have someone overseas or in the US to accept a package - especially in the US - but I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago and I could not believe the prices. The increase happened so quickly. The prices are insane - it's actually cheaper here now.
