This very cool piece dates back to around 1880-1910. It is rare to have all three pieces. The handle detaches, and the iron would be placed either in the oven, or on the stove. When it was ready to use, the handle would be attached, and you're ready to iron! In between ironing, it would be placed in the cradle. Most collectors now use it for a door stop, or just display piece. It weighs 7 pounds with all three pieces! Turn of the century cool! C1.1553
