Set of 4 White Porcelain Demitasse/Expresso Cup, Saucer, and Spoon Set in original box - the word Demitasse means half cup in French and drinking from demitasse cups became popular in the 18th century. Today they are usually referred to as expresso cups because they are the popular size for drinking strong coffee such as espresso or Turkish coffee. This set of four features four white porcelain coffee cups, four saucers, and four stainless steel spoons. The coffee cups are marked Benjamin & Medwin Inc. and the spoons are marked Capco Stainless Steel Japan. The set comes in original box and packing (see photos for more details). The box lid is torn and has been taped. One of the spoons has a flaw on the back (see last photo for more details). The saucers measure approximately 4” in diameter and the coffee cup measures 2” in diameter and is approximately 2 1/4” tall (see photos for more details).
