Greenman Brooch, Italian, 800 Silver, Renaissance, Peruzzi, Cini, Green Man

I love this brooch! This is a vintage Italian, 800 silver brooch. It is most likely Peruzzi or Cini from the renaissance / Art Nouveau style but it is unsigned. This depicts the Green man face in the center. He is surrounded by flower on each side. The Green Man is considered as a symbol of rebirth, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring. This piece maintain its softly aged patina. Fantastic piece!
