This necklace is gold-tone and has tiny facets in it to make it have a sparkle/shine effect. it is easy to put on, simply open the back to slip around the neck and it will snap back into place after you have it in position. The inside of the necklace is about 4.5 inches in diameter; this would be the part that hugs your neck, so note the size appropriately to make sure it's a comfortable fit.
