These authentic Judith Ripka Sterling Silver and 18K Yellow Gold with Dyed Sapphire pendant earrings were purchased new and kept in a non-smoking home. They have probably never been worn, as they were purchased with the matching pendant necklace on this closet which has never been worn, and are in excellent/new condition. There are no scratches, scuffs, or marks on either the earrings or gemstones. The earrings are double teardrop shape. The outer teardrop shape is decorated sterling silver and measures 19 mm (3/4 in.) wide, 25 mm (1 in.) high, and 2 mm (1/16 in.) thick. The width of the open teardrop shape is 3 mm (1/8 in.). The inner teardrop is a ribbed sterling silver band that holds the bluish-green dyed sapphire gemstone and is hung so that is swings inside of the outer teardrop. The inner teardrop measures 10 mm (3/8 in.) wide, 15 mm (9/16 in.) high, and 4 mm (3/16 in.) thick. The dyed sapphire is translucent and faceted on both sides. At the top of the outer teardrop where the inner teardrop is attached there two prong set round faceted white sapphires. Weight of the earrings is 10.5. grams. The ear clasps are sterling silver with 18K yellow gold posts, and a hinged securing back. The front inside of the clasps are stamped JR 18K 925 . The original tag is not present for the earrings.
