Vintage Brush Pottery Tortoiseshell Over Green Glazed Thistle 502-6

The history of Brush Pottery reads like a soap opera. Married to McCoy Pottery, divorced from McCoy Pottery. Somehow manages to pull through single and intact until the 1980s. Seventy plus years of underrated glazing and pottery shapes. Here is a beautiful piece of 502 with four lovely raised thistles on the outside. This shape is hard to find. It is a battered, crazed, survivor of a lost age. There are a couple of glaze fissures on the inside. There is an artist somewhere who has use for her. 6.25 inches tall and 3 inches across the rim.
