Vintage 90s Junior’s Sz 9/10 Zum Zum Royal Blue Lace Prom Dress w/Drop Waist

From my sister's personal closet! This vintage early 1990s Zum Zum prom dress is a junior's size 9/10. The dress is royal blue with a strapless satin underdress with a short-sleeved lace overlay. The body-hugging satin underdress has boning to provide shape and support in the bosom; the boning is flexible and still seems to be intact. There is some fabric discoloration along the boning but nothing that is noticeable through the lace. The lace overlay includes short puffed sleeves with elastic cuffs; the elastic has degraded over time and is a bit loose. It could probably be fixed easily with a small stitch or pin. The dress has a drop waist adorned with a big satin bow accented with rhinestones. Below the drop waist the dress has a tulle underskirt to provide oomph and flare! The back of the dress has a zipper and a keyhole closed with hook and eye closure. Fabric is 100% acetate, made in the USA. Excellent pre-owned condition. Neck opening = 8" Pit to pit measurement of lace overlay= 17.5" Natural waist = 15" Length = 40.5" Full disclosure: I live in a climate-controlled, non-smoking, dog- and cat-friendly home. Lint and the random pet hair are free! Item has been laundered, but has been in storage for 20+ years (!).
