This handbag is simply stunning. If you are not familiar with Anuschka, the brand was founded by Roma Basu, features unique hand-painting techniques on leather. The word ANUSCHKA means LIKE NO OTHER. Each bag is individually painted and signed. No 2 bags are exactly alike. Made in 1995, The butterfly bag looks nearly new on its exterior for being 29 years old. The bag is black leather with worn brassy hardware. It is painted in a beautifully detailed butterfly design. The quality is apparent, it's exterior is in mint condition with the exception of a tiny bit of flaking on the bottom of the blue butterfly (see photo). The interior is a vibrant shiny pink and it has yellowing discoloration around all the zippers and in the main compartment around the pockets. The circular "lipstick" compartments are stiff and the most discolored. (please see photos).
