In my opinion, they are more of a 39 versus a 40. I believe I am a true 8.5, but I like to wear boots that are a size 9 so that I can either wear thick socks or add an extra insole. These fit my foot great, but I don’t believe I could get an extra insole or a thick sock on with them without it becoming snug. Still have lots of life left. Please see photos for condition.
