Vintage Beaded Handbag by Richards Made in British Hong Kong

Hong Kong was a British colony and later a dependent territory of The United Kingdom from 1841 to 1997, with a period of Japanese occupancy from 1941 to 1945 during WWll. The colonial period began with the British occupation of Hong Kong Island under the Convention of Chuenpi in 1841 of the Victorian era. This lovely pristine bag is from the late 50s. I know that because it belonged to my mother. It looks to be brand new. I can't imagine that she used it more than a few times. I have used it as well, albeit rarely. The beads are all intact, the gold tone metal is shiny and bright, and the inside is perfect. This is a rare beauty, the perfect accessory for any formal or evening affair.
