Daniel Harris Aka ZEV Double Sided Crescent Moon Face Necklace - Pendant w Original Chain - Vintage 1970 - Marked ZEV 4/7/70 - Family Estate. Mid Century Modern Design Moon with Two Faces on each side of the Pendant on Original Chain. Handmade Wearable Sculpture Design - Purchased Directly from the artist by my Mother. I visited ZEV in Rome at his Studio in 1986 he was a family friend. Chain circa 28" L x 4mm W - Heavy Weight Pendant and Original Chain Daniel Albert Harris (1914-1986/87) Surrealist Artist changed his name to ZEV meaning WOLF in Hebrew when he moved to Europe in 1953. He studied at NYU, the National Academy of Design in NYC and at the Masters Institute of the Roerich Museum in Hungary. Discovered in the early 1940's by Californian Grace McCann Morley - Director of the SFMA. She invited him to exhibit his works in 1944 at the San Francisco Museum of Art's "Abstract & Surrealist Art in America" Exhibition. He is known for his Paintings, Illustrations, Murals, Sculptures and Jewelry. His works were featured in many Exhibitions, Solo and Group, in the United States and Europe.
