Forrest Richard "Dickey" Betts was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was a co-founder of the Allman Brothers Band and a central figure in the band's Southern rock sound. Betts is best known for writing and singing the band's biggest hit, "Ramblin' Man". He also wrote songs like "Jessica" and "Blue Sky". Betts died at age 80 on April 18, 2024, at his home in Osprey, Florida.
