Used once, the inside is very clean. I have had it so long, I can't even remember if I actually put change in it that one time. Thought it was too pretty use so kept in the box. While taking pictures, I saw a small imperfection that I tried to get a picture of. It looks like a very small piece of glue but very hard to see.
