Haute Couture Écaille Paris multicoloured embellished wool & silk brocade

Écaille Paris or Ecaille Paris Wearable art. Reminiscent of Klimt (see collage) but more beautiful ‘cause of the textured nature of the fabric. Label is Haute Couture (made on site in Paris). Famous 4 unique designs w/noble fabrics like silk & wool. This fabulous suit epitomizes their signature creations w/its handmade embellishment on rich coloured mix of textured wool:silk (60:40). Fell in love w/ this unique model when visiting their boutique in Paris in the 1990’s. Ecaille is 1 of my favourite designers (see my other listing of a summertime beige suit) The gold, red, pink, purple, yellow, green, orange, brown in their various hues & shades make this suit a piece worth of a museum of fashion entitled “ Fields of flowers”. Hues will vary with light as you can clearly see on some collages & by comparing pictures. Jacket: Mini beads artistically deposited by hand on the notched lapel. Closes w/a snap covered by an embellished big button. The perfect cut can be seen on the picture on the floor. Tailored. All measurements below are in inches when flat & approximate. Jacket: Shoulders (padded): 17 Pit2pit: 20 Length:21 Skirt: Solid waist. Tailored front the waist & at sides to follow the body contour to the hip, then straight (see picture on the floor).
