Vtg Carmel by the Sea Handpainted Terracotta TILE Trivet Coaster Wall Hanging 6"

Dimensions: 6" x 6" Colors: blue, red, cream, yellow, tan, gray, green This vintage handpainted terracotta tile was sold by "The Corner Cupboard" in Carmel by the Sea and features a depiction of The Corner Cupboard store in Carmel by the Sea. Very meta! The artwork captures the essence of Carmel-by-the-Sea, with its quaint boutiques along charming streets. A couple window shops while a nearby cat awaits a greeting and blooming plants dot the picturesque scene. "CARMEL by the Sea" is etched in the bottom right-hand corner and "Corner Cupboard" is etched onto a storefront sign. The entire piece is finished in a protective glossy glaze. This tile is both decorative and functional. Rest it on your kitchen counter or dining room table to act as a trivet (or hot plate) to prevent hot pots and pans from damaging your surfaces. Use it as an oversized coaster or to keep plants from sitting direclty on woodwork. Or simply hang it on your wall to enjoy as art. You can also store it on your wall and use it as a trivet as needed. There is a hole in the back for hanging it on a nail. Condition: This tile includes the original Cupboard Store tag in the upper left-hand corner but the tag is worn. The tile itself is in very good condition.
