Horse & Jockey Ceramic Ashtray Japanese Vintage Mint Condition​

In perfect condition, no chips, cracks, damage to the glaze or ceramic body of any kind. no defects or flaws. From a smoke-free home. 3" by 3 1/2" ashtray in a crackled gray glaze. Could be porcelain or a fine porcelain mix as its very lightweight and thin. See pics for more measurements. Racehorse and jockey motif stand 3" across and 3" up from the rim of the ashtray. horse is gray Appaloosa, with white spots & a black and gray mane. Not the most refined piece, but still very cute and kitchy. Both horse and rider are somewhat detailed, have facial features and clear body proportions. Rider has boots, a riding crop, helmet and scarf. A little crude, not nearly a top of the line item at the time it was made. However, that was likely 70 years ago, this piece dates to the 50s so that makes it pretty cool whether it's made by a skilled artisan or simply to satisfy tourists. Would make a great gift to a horse lover, anyone who enjoys the track, and collectors of vintage or Japanese ceramics among others!
