English late-19th century, circa 1890, turned burl walnut urn with a circular conforming lid with pull handle above a hollow ovoid body with collard lip and carved neck. Standing upon a turned and moulded circular footed base. Sometimes referred to as a "Cremation Urn." (lidded tend to realize a bit more) Dimensions: 10.8" height x 4.78" diameter (widest point to point) *note that the circular base diameter is a generalization, as antique (100+ yrs) does not shrink (tangential, radial, longitudinal) proportionately due to the grain formation.
