1990s Jean Paul Gaultier Sheer Silk Devore Black Velvet & Knit Dress Tunic SZ XL

Amazing dress by Jean Paul Gaultier with sheer details characteristic of his adventurous and innovative designs. The dress is a semi - sheer bold black body. It is missing the under slip. The overdress is sweater - like, and is composed of an incredible geometric devoree burnout cut velvet fabric that falls loosely over whatever slip you use, allowing the wearer's curves to be implied and seen hazily through the sweater. The dress has a high rib knit turtle neckline, rounded shoulders and bishop sleeves that burst forth from the neck. The sleeves are wonderful, with velvet tapering just below the elbow and rib knit fabric continuing down the lower arm, ending at the wrist. The hem of the dress is knit and features a loosely knit geometric pattern. Silk. Made in Italy. The only damage I can find is around the neck someone tried to sew up a couple of holes, it’s not noticeable when you fold it as a turtleneck, but I included pictures so please view them all.
