Vintage buckle

I'm guessing it's not bakelite , due to its weight, but I have never tested it. I think it's early plastic, but still has a retro design and great vibe. Could be used as a belt hook, sweater clasp, adornment.....See pics, ask questions. It is a reddish brown color.
