Black leather from the 90s in amazing condition. Case is 13 inches wide, by 11 inches tall. 2-3 inches deep. All edging was redone by Coach. They also replaced the strap, so the strap is completely new. Brass color hardware was also replaced by Coach. Inside is a zipper pocket in great working order. Outside back pocket is wide.The handle looks new! Leather has a slight sheen/patina from its age. Numbered inside stamp: M5C 5181. Selling online now for $340 (see pic).

Any smells like musty or cigarettes? How does it smell?

@closetalchemy No smells at all. I don't smoke. I used it for my work, placing just papers in it for 2-3 years. Then never used it much afterwards.

Are the scratches on the back deep, or can they be polished out with some black leather polish? Thank you.

@closetalchemy All the light scratches are very superficial and can be polished out. The leather has no smells and the top flap and the back body is soft leather but thick. The inside section feels and looks very newish. The top part has slight fade but can be brought back with polish. It was refurbished by Coach about 5 years ago and they did a great job.

My laptop is 12" wide. Your bag is 13" wide, at the top though, to get my laptop inside, what is the length of the zipper? Thank you for answering my questions. My computer is 12 x 8. What's your take on the fit, based on your experience of using the bag?

@closetalchemy The pocket inside has a 12" zipper. It will not fit your computer, as the depth of this pocket is 7". It's a flat pocket for keys or wallet. Your computer will fit inside the main compartment which is 13" wide plus 2" depth, so it will fit up to a 14" x 10.5" computer. There's a pocket with no zipper just under the front flap, it's over 12.25" wide, which will fit your computer. I have a 12" Mac Air, and it fits inside these two mentioned spaces.
