The new style is a riff on the classic zip-front jacket, updated with a slim fit and smart, modern details like gusseted shoulders with elastic reinforcement for freedom of movement. The canvas is treated with a durable water-resistant coating (DWR) for protection from the elements, and breaks in over time like a good pair of jeans. Though it starts out rigid, it'll soften and shape itself to you as it ages.
