@clairegeorge998 Hi 🤗 yes it’s both decorative and can be used as a shoulder strap…but it’s more dressy that way in my opinion. The chain is 21.5 inches long.

@scmatt22 hey, thanks for asking- I love the bag and it took me some time to decide to finally post it, but I wasn’t using it as i thought I would. I think I’m even on the fence now with letting it go because there really is nothing wrong with it. I’ve been trying to let go of things I don’t use/don’t use often, though.

@luxury_peach oh you know what it is , the one they made with the chain is the newer one and this one didn’t have a chain. But I bought a chain for it from someone who didn’t need theirs , and I added it to this one : I believe that’s how it’s from a different time than yours.

@scmatt22 In case you’re wondering why I’m selling, It’s a tab bit bigger than the speedy 20 but it’s still too small for my needs. I carry my things which can fit, but I also carry things for my little ones which can’t. So this beauty is just sitting pretty in my closet. It’s one of the most beautiful bags I have from LV but just not practical for me as a mom.

@clairegeorge998 I would still get it authenticated because just spoke to my friend who is a CA at Louis Vuitton. She said the “Petite Malle” was released without the chain and it is the hard truck. This “Petite Malle Souple” the soft truck was released September 2020 and always had a chain. They are completely different bags.

@luxury_peach and to answer your question, yes I could have measured on my own, and I did, but I wanted to compare because as I explained I thought this bag was released without the chain at one point, and then I got it without the chain, (it wasn’t specified as to if it came with it or not but just that she didn’t have it); and I bought the chain alone, separately. So I figured since we’re fellow traders, it would be ok to ask you. Sorry I didn’t mean to offend you. 🙄

@quagster2 Hi 👋 Yes it’s brand new, never used from my personal collection. I have the receipt. It does not have any flaws. I purchased it because it’s so beautiful with the black leather but as a mom it just sits in my collection untouched. My CA told me about the chip scanner that I could downloaded on my phone. It is not the exact scanner they use in store. That one gives you more details about the bag. This one just detects that a chip is in place and gives minimal detail. Hope that helps 😊
