Handmade OOAK 21 antique vintage photo charms swag festoon statement necklace

Handmade by me. The Edwardian-inspired festoon style chain was constructed using New Old Stock antique brass rolls of chain with modern gold tone jump rings as connecting stations. Hanging from this are 21 unique photo charms (22 photos total as one charm is a double sided spinner) that were formerly pendants and brooches (the two antique black and white photos are both in fact still brooches, one of which has a protruding pin that can be removed prior to shipping at buyer’s request), most dating to the 1970s and 1980s and a couple dating to the 1800s or early 1900s. They are framed in gold tone, silver tone, and brass. As a sentimental collector of forgotten things, this necklace represents to me years of saving, storing, and admiring this grouping of unrelated people from different times and places, loved so much that their faces were proudly displayed and worn on someone that they, too, loved. These pictures so often slip through the cracks but my hope is that now that they’ve found a place together, they will not soon be forgotten. Can be worn or displayed as wall art. Wearable length is 14” + 4” for a total of 18” and drop of 4”. Clasp is a vintage gold tone Germany spring ring and functions perfectly.
