Elegant Silver and Black Pipe

I believe this is circa 1950s. I bought it on an impulse, because I liked the silver overlay. I don't smoke a pipe, and I've never done anything with it, it just sits in a box and that's a shame! Turns out, Medico is a very desirable brand of pipes! This one seems to be in very good condition. The mouthpiece is slightly worn, but not badly chewed! The bowl seems to be in good shape. The design cut into the sterling silver overlay looks like warriors, either Roman or maybe Aztec. The wood is a VERY dark brown, almost black but not quite. I think it would still make some pipe smoker very happy!
