Vintage 50s/60s Size 36/38 M Vanity Fair Blue Full Slip Nightgown Pleats

Beautiful vintage mid 50s/early 60s slip or nightgown, I can't decide. My first instinct is nightie, but in looking at vintage Vanity Fair ads, I think it's actually a slip. It has absolutely gorgeous embroidered lace, accordion pleats, and mesh and lace panels. beautiful shade of dark navy blue. In excellent vintage condition, the only signs of wear on this 50+ year old garment is some of the embroidery fraying on the lace at the shoulders. Otherwise perfect. Size is unreadable on the tag, based on measurements I would say a generous size 36, or a smaller 38 Measurements shown in photos. Length is approximately 39 inches.
