new never used they are not in their plastic wrap anymore, I did take them out to wash when I got them but have been stored in never used since. they have some water spots on them, but I'll leave it to the lucky new owner to clean them how they prefer. three boxes of four, 12 total. classic and timeless pattern, would go well with any silver flatware. have a very nice weight and feel in the hand. flat edge, not serrated
