Beautiful Early 1900s Beaded Floral Purse

What a beautiful piece of art! With a little TLC this bag could be wearable art too!! The bead work on this antique handbag is unbelievable! The flowers come alive in vibrant reds, blue, yellow and green against a light pink/mauve backdrop. The frame and clasp of the bag feature an intricate design with a few marcasite stones. This interior of the bag is a pale pink taffeta and in excellent condition. This is a very old piece- likely from the early 1900s. While the beadwork is in excellent and sturdy shape you will see from the pictures that some of the stitching along several sides has come undone. Someone with a delicate touch could repair. Front frame shows signs of patina and wear. We did not attempt to clean this. A few marcasite stones are missing. The bag hands about 15 inches long.
