leighclaire @luckydream question, how do I know if a sale is the real deal and not a scam? Someone who just tried to buy one of my items said their account was hacked and not to pay attention to any of their messages. I have gotten three items up for sale and now am hesitant on them? Thanks for your help!

luckydream @leighclairemcd That might be a scam if someone tries to message you to purchase but asks you not to pay attention to messages or said they were hacked. Don’t email them or agree to accept payment through some other method.

leighclaire @luckydream yes I am not selling that item to them because of their hacked account and now I have two other people who have “purchased” items but I have not confirmed theirs because I’m hesitant on those. How will I know if those accounts weren’t hacked too?

luckydream @leighclairemcd Yes, it’s better to be cautious because unfortunately those type of scams happen. Were the buyers who “purchased” did they do it through the offer feature that they sent for you to accept, counter or decline? If so then most likely it will be legit as long as the offer is not more than your list price.

luckydream @leighclairemcd It’s a legit sale if a buyer either makes a purchase through buy it now then they paid for it or sent you an offer to accept or decline. Posh will send you a shipping label to mail out ideally within 2 days if possible.

leighclaire @luckydream ahhhh ok! All of them came through under the bundle tab not the “offer” tab.. if I go look under the “offer” tab there isn’t anything there. Is this where I’ll accept the most legit sales? Thank you soooo much for your help!!!! I really appreciate it💟

luckydream @leighclairemcd You’re very welcome!! I’m happy to help!! Feel free to ask me questions anytime. It terrible that scammers always try. You can report the scam to Posh through the flag icon. Yes, it’s the offer feature that you’ll usually see the legit sales.

luckydream @leighclairemcd Bundles are legit too so so that buyers can pay one shipping price to save on shipping by bundling items up to 5lb. If it goes over 5 lbs then there is a shipping upgrade fee which needs to be added. Bundles are legit when a buyer combines items and then send you their bundle offer or they can wait for you to send them a bundle offer. But if they send you a bundle with a comment to purchase along with spam questions then it’s not legit.
