The Artist Robert Kennedy received his formal art training at the Rhode Island School of Design (1961), where he studied painting and illustration. Kennedy has been an artistic historian of the old and new Boston for over decade. His crisp, detailed pen and ink sketches have become almost as familiar a sight in the city's restaurants and public offices as the landmarks they portray.
Kennedy has gathered inspiration for his work in his own neighborhood on Beacon Hill as well as on street corners, on on the wharves, in Haymarket Square, and in local pubs. His studio is an 1840 stable on Joy Street, where he lives, works works, and displays silk screened prints of the popular Three of his brothers, Ted, Peter, and Joe Kennedy, and the father of the clan, known affectionately as "Pop", all play a part in this family enterprise. In addition to selling Kennedy's work, the brothers operate 5 studios (one in Key West) and have a framing and graphics business as well.
Art is in a great condition and measures about 12.25” length and 9.25” wide.
