Gorgeous Vintage Geoffrey Beene size 8 - heavy blue silk leaning towards teal dress. The workmanship on this dress is emblematic of the height of Geoffrey Beene's studio. The blue exterior silk has an amazing shimmer, the interior is lined in a matching blue silk chiffon, it has a hidden zipper to close the chest, quilting on the bottom of the skirt which creates great movement and structure and 2 side pockets. The sleeves tapper down to a quilted cuff, reflective of the bottom of the skirt. This dress is currently retailing on another platform for $1600 This is a size 8 but the waist is smaller than a size 8 of today. Measurements: Shoulder: 15 3/4" (maybe 16") Chest: 36" (18" armhole to armhole) Waist: 26 (13" across) Length: 51" Sleeve: 24" I need to make a correction. When ironing it I found a spot on the interior of front that lays over the zipper. It is not noticeable unless you pull the skirt wide and keep it one with your hands.
