They are listed as like new because they have a small area near the back heel that appears to be an indent into the leather. As if there was a tag fastened in this area at one time: This area cannot be seen unless you place the boots under light and shift the boot back-and-forth to catch the area with your eye. But this area exists, and therefore the boots are no longer new and no longer pristine. I have tried my best to catch this area in the light to photograph it and I have circled it in purple on the last photo of this listing. Again, when the boot is standing up, this area cannot be seen. It other words it blends in with the black of the shoe. Pricing reflects this defect. Neither the soles or black heels have any wear.
