New Zealand Shearling Penny Lane Jacket

Tagged size "various" for eyes on. I found this on a day that our power was out. I came home & immediately began deconstructing it by the fading light in my kitchen window on a January afternoon, just weeks ago. It looks nothing like it did when I picked it up. It had a tight little old and battered crew neck collar on it, the shearling at the cuff was only 2" wide. Sad, tired and definitely not the type of vintage penny lane that would turn heads. The camel suede exterior has been cleaned and protected. The cream New Zealand shearling collar and cuff are my new additions, also a save from the land fill, also freshly washed and conditioned. The original lining has been replaced with a strong sturdy "kasha" cotton backed satin. Including some "in process shots" Yes! I chose not to put fur on the bottom edge. For good reason too, it would have been matted & dirty in short order. This is the real deal, a 50 year old Penny Lane, restored to last another 50. Shoulder 16" Flat closed Bust 18.5" Flat closed waist 17" Sleeve length 24" Bicep circumference 14" My investment into the jacket is $150 in materials and 30hrs of restoration/re-construction.
