Beautiful gently used Caroline doll with book, outfit, and box. Her limbs are a little loose, but she can stand on her own and mostly hold a pose. Her hair has been cared for, and she has no marks, tears, or scratches that I know of. The box is beaten up. Please let me know if you don’t want it included. The book is in very good condition, but the spine is faded. Please feel free to ask any questions or make an offer!

lovegoodclothes @beautifulusa Hello! Thank you for reaching out! I’m so sorry that I’m not familiar with the acronym PMPC. Would you please repeat your question, and I’ll do my best to answer? My apologies!

beautifulusa @lovegoodclothes I'm assuming it is, but if you don't know, the markings would be on the base of the neck under the hair by the white string attachment.. "PC" is just short for "made by pleasant company" and the "PM" is for "Pre Mattel", meaning made before Mattel bought the pleasant company. I think the mid-late 90's, like 1997/98 if when pleasant company sold out to Mattel, but I'm not positive.

lovegoodclothes @beautifulusa Thank you very much for explaining! That’s really interesting. This doll has no branding on the back of the neck. She was bought new in 2012, which apparently was when the character was first released by American Girl. She’s a relatively newer historical character in the product line. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

beautifulusa @lovegoodclothes yes I just looked it up and Mattel purchased the pleasant company in 1998. so I guess simply put, was she manufactured before or after 1998?
