what am I missing? the photo shows button holes but the coat is missing the last two for the buttons. My husband thinks it's missing 2 button holes.
What are we missing? please and thank you.

@kathleenmont177 ok im so sorry about that. I did my research and this is what I found out. I hope this helps.
The Ralph Lauren Thinsulate trench coat shown here appears to be double-breasted, which means it has two parallel rows of buttons, but only one active row of buttonholes (the other row is decorative).

🔍 Here’s what’s going on:
Design: Double-breasted coats traditionally have one visible row of functional buttonholes on the right lapel and two parallel rows of buttons on the left side (one set for closure, one decorative).
Hidden buttonholes: Some Ralph Lauren trench models hide the top buttonhole under the lapel or placket to give a smoother look when closed.

Not a defect: The lack of buttonholes matching every button is completely intentional. It’s part of the style, not missing stitching.
Thinsulate version: Because this version is insulated, the buttonholes can also be tighter or less pronounced due to the thickness of the outer shell and lining.

@shaymwelsh no, i dont want to return it. This coat is gorgeous, like I said, even though it's a little big, i'm still going to wear it.I just all of a sudden, noticed it a few days ago and I was questioned it. seemed odd.
but it's all ok. it seems thats the way it was designed. no big deal.
thanks for not being rude in your reply. You have manners.
