Antique Hand Painted Photo Album/Music Box - Black Lacquer Wood Cover with Picture of Japan ~Unique scrapbook. Made of wood with a glossy black lacquer finish. ~Hand-painted artwork of the island of Japan and surrounding islands. ~The book is footed like a bed which lifts it off the surface. ~It is hinged with stainless steel piano style hinges. ~Measures 15.5" L x 10.5" W x 2" D - opening the lid plays music. ~Music box works! I don't know the song, but it sounds oriental in nature. - 24 Original interior pages with tissue protectors (48 sides) and gilt edges - never been used or written in with pen or pencil. ~Inside cover pages appear to have a silver glitter pattern on them. - 1950s or earlier In good vintage condition - there are minor scratches and scuffs in the lacquer on the cover, edges and corners, some yellowing of the inside covers. There is an aged tape mark on the inside front page. Please check all pictures for condition.
