It follows American lieutenant Frederic Henry, an ambulance driver, and his romance with English nurse Catherine Barkley. The novel interweaves love and war, joy and terror, and liberation and death. Frederic falls for Catherine while she nurses him back to health after a trench mortar shell wounds him. This book is in very good condition and currently retails for $140 on Amazon.
