I picked up this dish at a thrift shop, and didn't even look to see who made it or what it was. I just thought it was so pretty, and these pictures don't even do it justice. Turns out it has a little diamond on the bottom with the H in it, indicating it is by Heisey, famous for its lovely pressed glass. The dish is oval in shape, with a beautiful scalloped top on vertical ribs. The bottom has a lovely sunburst design. A bubble-type handle on each side.. Measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/8" without handles. The base diameter is 3 3/4".. Height is 2 1/2". No chips or cracks. It was originally used for mayonnaise, condiments, candy, relish, or nuts. Very attractive piece.
