This is one of my all time favorite movies!!! A beautiful film and wonderful music score make this movie a joy to watch. Set in Florence and Surrey, England. This adaptation of E.M. Forster’s 1908 novel is both a romance and a critique of the English society at the beginning of the 20th century. Stars Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter). Julian Sands (Leaving Las Vegas). Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln and Last of the Mohicans) and a delightful Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral) as Mr. Beebe, the local vicar who tries to be the voice of reason for this group. Newly restored 4K digital transfer and special features by James Ivory (director) and the actors, and the costume designer. DVD - not Blue Ray. Not rated, but this is a sophisticated, intelligent film that I would recommend for upper teens and adults. Some brief nudity (men skinny dipping) a very funny scene!
