The mechanisms lock into place so it can't open, especially when holding it. Good condition! No tears. I am far from the first owner- there are a few pet hairs that I will lint roll off (with a velvet friendly roller- nonstick) and it has that storage smell right now. A bit of a touch up and she's brand new and ready to go. This has such a fairy core vibe! The bottom of the purse poofs out just a little so it has just the right shape. Amazing gift for anyone with a unique or vintage style. Maximalist or minimalist depending on how you style it! I'm not sure if the year. The unique clasps makes me think as early as the 50s but as late as the 80s or 90s. If anyone can help date this bag, that would be amazing!
