Antique Georgian Grisaille Enamel Pin/ Brooch

Capture the timeless elegance of Georgian jewelry with this stunning rare OOAK grisaille enamel pin/ brooch featuring intricate designs of a gryphon and lion. Even though grisaille enamel work was popular both in the Georgian and Victorian era, I believe that this is an earlier piece due to the hinge style and the needle length. The metal is unmarked and uncleaned, most likely sterling silver. Signed in the upper part of the silver frame by the unknown maker, this handmade sentimental pin is perfect for Mother's Day, Christmas, or any special occasion, adding a touch of antique charm to your outfit. Condition: the pin is sold AS IS, please note that a frame is missing another cherub at the top right and has no clasp, the grisaille enamel insert has a chip on the right side of the edge but I believe it could be fixed and filled with black lacque, glue or epoxy, you could enjoy it as is if you remove the needle and simply add a hook to use it as a pendant.
